Water Based Coating

Overprint varnishes are widely used in printing and packaging industry among which water-based coatings play a pivotal role in the production of printed products.
Water-based coatings are cured through the absorption of the coating into the substrate and vaporization of water. Drying is achieved using hot air and Infrared and water is then vaporized from the coating during this process of drying. The polymers then join together to form the coating film.
Their main purpose is to protect the printed substrate, give the desired finishing and extend the printed products with valuable function.
Water-based coatings as a result of their advantages have become the leading technology in the printing industry.
